Roxy photos 2022

2022 observations

Roxy on September 29, 2022

The visible injuries, most evident on the inside of Roxy's ears, appear to be a type of microwave (high frequency) burn. These injuries often appear quickly, and always out of thin air. As the injuries are forming, Roxy may paw at her ear. The skin becomes inflamed and warm to the touch. Tiny weeping, bleeding blisters form on the surface of the skin. After the injury process (burning) ceases, the wounds begin to heal. Then, before the wounds can truly heal, the injuries occur again.

During 2022 there was one month where Roxy's ears were permitted near complete healing. This was from about July 3-August 3, 2022. There was some injury to her ears during this time, but it was very minor. In the photos from this time period, you can see how much happier Roxy is. The inside of her ears is a soft white color, matching her paws, chin, chest, belly, and mustache, and she enjoys head bumping and rolling and stretching and being cute. Sadly, this was a very short period of time.

During 2022 the injuries often occurred to each ear separately, alternating from ear to ear. Roxy often also had injuries behind her ears, and to the skin of her neck and shoulders. During 2022 she also experienced intense salivation and was frequently driven to drink large quantities of water. Sometimes she experienced (and as of this writing still experiences) sudden mobility issues (a limp, difficulty walking) and then soon recovers. Note: the intense salivation was something that happened to Chris and to my father shortly before they died. Sudden mobility issues of varying severity have also occurred with all of us.
